MSRC Singa vs Sunway College

Date : 28th July 2001
Venue : Padang A, Universiti Putra Malaysia
Final Score : 10-17

Game Report:
MSRC Singa was exactly one month old when they first played this game. The senior players were brushing their skills again into the game condition. Those fresh players who just got involved in this sport,it was their first game in their life.

Even though half of the team are a fresh blood, still they had given the best performance ever with a high level team spirit until the final whistle was blown.

Singa scored their first touchdown which started with a nice forward move by Number 8 player,Mohd Fadzly Kamaruzzaman which also was selected as the player of the match.

Even though the 3Qs were running the ball most of the time, but still the luch is not in Singa's hand.

Conclusion:
The one month old MSRC Singa has done a very good job considering the team was newly been set up. Efforts to improve on the team performance will be looked into our next coming game in the future.

MSRC Singa vs RMN Orca

football

Date : 18th August 2001
Venue : Navy Base Camp, Lumut, Perak.
Final Score : 3-35

Game Report:
When we first decided to go against the Royal Malaysian Navy (ORCA),we were actually looked into where Singa actually stands with Division 1 rugby team. Though our players were tired due to a long journey to Lumut, Perak and playing under the scorching sun at the seaside location of the camp, but still they tried their best to defend the touch line at the second half.

A few players got injured but the Singa spirit still roared inside their hearts while they keep attacking and defencing their grounds.

The Royal Malaysian Navy was not an equal team for the Singa which is coming to two months old.

The forward movements were played intelligently and contributed a penalty for the Singa which has been successfully converted by Singa's Stand Off, Nor Azman Mohamed.

Conclusion:
It was a dissapointment to the RMN Orca for their failure to maintain their '0' when the Singa managed to steal the meaningful 3 points for the team.

MSRC Singa vs The Huns (PWC)

football

Date : 17th September 2001
Venue : Padang A, Universiti Putra Malaysia
Final Score : 9-12

Game Report:
The Singa played very well in this match against 2-years-old Huns which also one of the team that playing in the Division 2 Selangor League this year.

The forwards and the 3Qs did all their moves in the field and managed to confuse the opponent's expectations for the team which is coming to 3 months old.

Again, the Stand Off player took an opportunity to convert all the three convertions, which also contributed wonderful points for the team.

3 touchdowns were wasted but the new and fresh players, with their efforts and movements will not be easily forgotten by the opponents that has been established for about 2 years.

The 3Qs also played confidently during the game, bringing back the glory of 3Qs in the heart of The Singa.

Conclusion:
Singa played far off well compared to the opponents and it is an early warning by the Singa to all the rugby teams in the Selangor Leage that Singa will come back to fullfill their mission.
