MSRC Singa is basically one of the 'babies' to Maxis Sports &
Recreational Club which came along with the other teams such as netball, tennis, badminton and others.Currently, we are proud to announce that so far we have been the most active and outstanding sports
team in the company.

Behind all of this glorious moments,blood,sweat and tears that we shared,do ponder through the history on how a 'mighty' cub was born and raised till today itself...

JUNE 15th,2001 - The idea of setting up Maxis Rugby Team was thought up during lunch hour between a few Maxis Staff at Wisma Central,KL.Followed by a proposal via e-mail to MSRC President,Mr.Ronnie Chai Ching Beng on the same day.

JUNE 16th,2001 - The proposal was raised during the MSRC Committee Meeting and was agreed by majority that MSRC will have their very own Rugby Team.

JUNE 17th,2001 - Contact has been established with Subang Hi-Tech,Sunway Annexe and USJ Warehouse to find existing rugger players in Maxis.

JUNE 21st,2001 - MSRC Rugby team was born bearing NRIC Number: 010621-10-2001. There were 22 dedicated Maxis Rugger Players who came down for the first ever training on Thursday at Rugby Field,Padang Utara,PJ.

AUGUST 21,2001 - By majority vote,MSRC Rugby Team has decided to name themselves as MSRC Singa,which shows the 'roaring' spirit of the rugger players to make the team as a dream come true.

Plus,dared to be different than the other existing teams in Malaysia,the name has been chosen in Bahasa which also shows how proud we are to be 'Mighty' Malaysians.
